Women 65 and older should be screened routinely for osteoporosis to reduce the risk of fracture and spinal abnormalities associated with the disease, according to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.
However, screening should start at age 60 for women at higher risk. Check with your doctor to see when you should be screened.
