Prevention

Stop smoking. Tobacco smoke contains chemical toxins that accumulate in the bladder.
Protection in the workplace. If you work with chemicals known to cause bladder cancer, follow safety instructions, and wear protective gear to avoid exposure.
See your doctor as soon as you see blood in the urine or experience the symptoms of a urinary tract infection.
