Self-Care

If you smoke, quit
Being tobacco free will promote healing after surgery, improve your response to chemotherapy and help minimize side effects.
Eat a healthy diet
While you are undergoing treatment, your dietary needs may be different. After your treatment, limit how much animal fat you have in your diet. Studies have shown that consumption of animal fat may increase the body's production of estrogen, which could increase recurrence risk. Follow a balanced diet rich in whole grains, fruits and vegetables, providing protein from low-fat sources.
Get plenty of rest
Treatment for endometrial cancer will tire you. You will need to conserve energy. Getting enough sleep helps you recover.
