Causes

- Asthma is caused by a chronic inflammatory condition of the lungs. This chronic inflammation causes narrowing of the lung air passages at rest, and it gets worse during attacks.
- There are many triggers to this inflammation, such as infection, dust, pollens, dander from pet fur, exercise, cold air, laughing and crying.
